Course overview

Most organisations keep their books in software; comparatively few keep them well. This programme covers the transition and the discipline: designing a chart of accounts that produces useful reports, controlling bank feeds and automated coding rules, reconciling everything that can be reconciled, and producing month-end reports that a manager can act on. Teaching is software-neutral, so the skills transfer between the packages used across the region.

Who this course is for

  • Bookkeepers moving from manual to computerised records
  • Accounts staff inheriting a badly maintained ledger

  • Design a chart of accounts that supports meaningful reporting
  • Set up and control bank feeds and automated coding rules

UK academic certification pathway

Computerised Bookkeeping & Reconciliation is one of the programmes eligible for our academic pathway. IHM does not describe any certificate as awarded by a UK university unless a written agreement permits that description, and the awarding body is named on your enrolment agreement before you pay.
